Growing up as a child sitting still for longer than two minutes was a rarity. With endless amounts of energy, it was perhaps just as well my attention was focused towards sport - swimming being the firm favourite as most of my close friends know already!

Laterally, well after a slight change in career after 5 years of studying and gaining a degree in architecture, it was a warm welcome qualifying as a Personal Trainer. Some would say it was meant to be without sounding cliched but it is true what they say by ‘‘love what you do and you will never have to work a day in your life”.

Now my energetic enthusiasm for fitness is not only directed towards aiding individuals to focus on what can be achieved through realistic yet practical training but also help individuals build their appreciation for exercise. After all, we all know that exercise contributes to our overall well-being - our physical and mental health. It is a balance of two halves that we need to maintain an active lifestyle and keep a happy head.

we all have our favourites, it is what makes us different - thought you might like to know my fitness-related preferences!

Yes, I’m not a fan of squats (strange I know) but when it comes to burpees and devil presses (oh and sit-ups, it’s a whole different story. . . core work is probably my favourite and has always been! It really doesn’t matter when we individuals train during the day but for me, first thing is best. I feel it sets the tone for the rest of the day, plus you gain more time for other activities. Fitness should be included as a but should by any means take over! Although not listed above my go to snack is an apple but like most, I do have a sweet tooth and limit my chocolate intake to the weekend (it’s only natural to enjoy some treats as part of a balanced diet!).
